My Story
I am a BACP registered, Person - Centred Therapist working in a Trauma - Informed way.
I have personally felt the transforming power of being in a therapeutic relationship with a Person - Centred therapist who 'got me' by truly listening to my experiences. When I felt safe enough to reveal my most painful, disorganised parts of my being she was able to communicate her understanding and I felt valued and cared for. In time I was able to offer this acceptance and valuing to myself which was incredibly healing.
I have extensive knowledge and experience of working in the education sector as a Montessori teacher, Forest School Leader, and Early Years Educator for a local authority. These roles have deepened my love for working in nature and broadened my understanding of the restorative and healing benefits the outdoor environment can offer.
"People are as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."
